I am confused

First off, I think I just made a second Blog on the same site, but I keep wondering why I spent so much time dressing up my daughter and myself for last night. Her cousins and aunt couldn't come because of custody issues with the EX, and she had noone to go with. Rather, mommy didn't think to set up someone to go with besides her charming self. I was dressed to the hilt Friday and Sunday, and my daughter was Cinderella. She was gorgeous! I never saw a classier 6-yr-old.
She found friends on the block and proceeded to run after them, desperately trying to keep up. Meanwhile, I am yelling "Dress, Keely! Dress! Lift the dress before you land on your face!" and trying not to embarrass the crap out of her. I realized how good a job I had done thus far raising my daughter after about 2 minutes with the neighborhood "twerps". You know the kind. They run at full pace from house to house, with no regard for grass, fences, rocks and the like. They either jump up and scare the sh%$ out of you, or they just reach for the candy and run. They don't bother to say Thank you, and they leave their friends behind when their feet hurt or they fall on their face. Thank goodness my daughter didn't fall, and she temporarily picked up some of these bad habits, but despite the fact that she was in the company of Snow White and Belle, 2 other "princesses", she was the only true princess in the bunch. She was like the true Cinderella, running after her 2 ugly schoolfriends.
And our neighborhood was virtually empty, so we went to the neighborhood one street over. Kids were everywhere!
I came home to 4 bags of candy. Each time I head to the frig, I look 10 extra pounds of fat in the eye. Aye!
